Pandanus currently has two arms - Project Pandanus and Pandanus Park
Project Pandanus is
an ever-evolving group who are working to help establish government-supplied
wilderness retreats for veterans and their families in every state and
territory of Australia. Pandanus Park is the flagship for these wilderness
retreats
Pandanus Park is the vets' wilderness retreat on Cape York Peninsula just south of Princess Charlotte Bay. Wet-season permitting, Pandanus Park is open annually from ANZAC Day to Remembrance Day. There is only one definite event every year: the gathering on 18 August (aka Long Tan Day / Vets Day / Vietnam Veterans Day) when there is an influx of vets and their families from all over
Whether you visit during the quiet times or the August reunion period, you will find lots here to help you make the most of your trip. Your biggest help will be talking with others who've already been there, so please use our Forum freely
